Vehicle insurance

All vehicles for tourism and travel include the standard insurance “Option A”. To reduce the excess, you can choose between three different insurance options. All cover accidental damage to the camper, the vehicle is insured against damage by Euro Campers, damage to third party vehicles and damage to third party property. We encourage you to be adventurous, but not careless.

While our insurance covers most external damages, we recommend that you read our Terms and Conditions carefully to understand any exclusions.

We offer several  reduction options for you to choose from.

Drivers under 25: Extra $ 1,000 NZD bond

The amount frozen on your credit card depends on the insurance purchased and will be processed in the event of an incident. It will be released after the completion of the trip.

Excess liability applies to any claim, not rent. In addition to the standard excess, the driver’s allowance of NZD 1000 applies if the driver of the insured vehicle is under 25 years of age.

If you have your own insurance, OPTION A coverage still applies. It should be noted that the excess will still be reserved on your credit card as a bond. In the event of damage, the amount will be collected by Euro Campers and you will then be reimbursed by your own insurance company.

ABOUT THE BOND / EXCESS: The client must present a valid credit card (Mastercard or Visa) to pay the bond / excess equal to the amount of the bond. This amount will be frozen to the customer’s credit card on the day the vehicle is picked up.

If you breach the terms and conditions of your rental, you may void the selected amount of the bond, and be liable for the total cost of the damage and/or costs associated with the incident.

The bond / excess will be fully refunded after the rental of the vehicle, unless the vehicle has damage from the rental. If the camper is damaged, the customer is obliged to contribute to the cost of replacement or repair, up to the amount of the deductible.

Renter agrees that the registered credit card will be charged to cover damages and incidental expenses. If there are multiple incidents in which the motorhome is damaged, a separate deductible applies to each incident. You can reduce the amount you must contribute by choosing one of our liability reduction options.

RECOMMENDATION: We recommend personal travel insurance, which usually covers other events such as illness, trip interruption, delays or missed connections. These plans may also cover lost, stolen or damaged personal items or documents, sometimes even rental vehicle liability. Please note that our insurance does not cover personal liability or lost, stolen or damaged personal property.
